Terms & Privacy
Last updated October 8, 2026. These Terms of Use, Membership Agreement, and Privacy Policy ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Quarterback Magazine, LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as WR Mag San Diego ("WR Mag San Diego," "we," "us"). By using this site, texting or emailing us, booking an evaluation, buying a membership, or training with us, you agree to these Terms. If you sign up on behalf of a minor, you agree to them for yourself and for the athlete.
Who can use this site
You must be at least 13 years old, or have a parent or guardian with you, to use this site or submit our forms. Memberships for athletes under 18 must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for all payments and for these Terms.
Membership agreement
In short: Membership is month to month with no long-term contract. To cancel, you must email or text us in writing at least 30 days before you want your membership to end. Any billing date that falls inside those 30 days is still charged. After that, billing stops.
Locked-in price. Members who join at the $150 founding rate keep $150 a month for as long as their membership stays active.
No long-term contract. Academy membership is month to month and renews automatically each month until you cancel under the rules below.
- Recurring billing. When you join, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your payment method the monthly membership fee on the same date each month (your "billing date") until your membership is canceled as described below. The fee is listed on our site or quoted to you at signup.
- Promotions. Promotional prices and "enroll by" offers apply only when you join by the date shown and only under the terms stated at signup. Promotions can't be combined unless we say so in writing.
- 30 days' written notice to cancel. To cancel, you must give us written notice at least 30 days before the date you want your membership to end. Only two forms of written notice are accepted:
- an email to [email protected] (preferred; this link opens a pre-written cancellation email), or
- a text message to (858) 462-6319.
Your notice must include the athlete's name, the parent or guardian's name, and a clear statement that you want to cancel. Verbal notice, phone calls, voicemails, social media messages, or telling a coach at practice are not valid notice.
- When notice counts. Notice is effective on the day we receive your email or text. The 30-day period starts that day, and your membership ends on the 30th day. For example, if we receive your notice on March 1, your membership ends on March 31.
- Billing during the notice period. Your membership stays active during the 30-day notice period, and any billing date that falls within those 30 days will be charged as normal. In the example above, a March 10 billing date is charged and no charges are made after March 31. You may keep training until your membership ends.
- Confirmation. We will confirm your cancellation in writing by email or text, including the date your membership ends and whether any charge remains. If you don't receive a confirmation within 3 business days, contact us again. Keep your confirmation as proof of cancellation.
- No refunds. All membership fees are non-refundable, including for partial months, missed sessions, unused sessions, injuries, weather, or schedule changes, except where required by law. The free first evaluation is never charged.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may pause training until your account is current. Unpaid balances remain owed.
- Payment disputes. Please contact us at [email protected] before disputing a charge with your bank or card company so we can fix it. If you file a chargeback for a charge that was authorized under these Terms, including charges during the 30-day notice period, we may send your bank these Terms, your signup records, and your messages with us, and we may suspend your membership.
- Price changes. We may change membership prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or text. The new price applies from your first billing date after that notice period. If you don't accept the change, you can cancel under the rules above, and we will not charge you the new price for any billing date within your 30-day cancellation notice period.
- Schedules and locations. Training days, times, and locations may change because of weather, field availability, holidays, or safety. Changes don't entitle you to a refund or credit. Weather-canceled sessions are made up.
- Benefits. Member benefits such as athlete profiles, monthly custom graphics, social media features, camp discounts, and College Bus Tour priority are offered at our discretion, may change, and end when your membership ends. Camp discounts and tour priority are subject to availability and to each event's own terms.
- Our right to end a membership. We may suspend or end a membership for unsafe behavior, unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, non-payment, or violating these Terms. If we end a membership for reasons other than your conduct or non-payment, we will refund any fee paid for time after the end date.
Private sessions and camps
Private sessions, team sessions, and camps may have their own prices and cancellation rules, which we'll share when you book. If none are shared, a session canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full.
Assumption of risk and release
In short: Football training carries real risk of injury. Before the first session, a parent or guardian must sign our Liability Release & Waiver. It covers all sessions, camps and programs for as long as the athlete trains with us, unless you revoke it in writing.
Football and football training (tackle, flag, and non-contact) have inherent risks that can't be eliminated, even when everyone uses reasonable care. These include concussion and head, neck, and spinal injuries; collisions with players, coaches, equipment, or objects while running routes or catching; being hit by thrown balls or passing machines; sprains, fractures, torn ligaments, and dental and eye injuries; heat illness, dehydration, and weather conditions; sudden cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies; uneven, wet, or artificial surfaces at fields we don't own; contagious illness; travel to and from sessions; and, in rare cases, permanent disability or death. Participation is voluntary, and by training with us you and the athlete knowingly accept these risks.
To the fullest extent allowed by California law, you, for yourself, the athlete, and your heirs, release and agree not to sue Quarterback Magazine, LLC, WR Mag San Diego, WR Magazine (Wide Receiver Magazine), Wide Receiver Magazine Academy, and their owners, coaches, staff, contractors, volunteers, partners, and the owners of fields we use (the "Released Parties") for claims arising from training, including claims caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties. This release doesn't apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any claim that can't be waived under California law. You agree to cover the Released Parties' costs, including reasonable attorney fees, for claims brought on the athlete's behalf that this release covers. If our signed waiver and these Terms differ on safety or liability, the signed waiver controls.
Health, concussions, and emergencies
- Tell us first. Before the first session, and whenever anything changes, tell a coach about any medical condition, injury, allergy, or medication. The athlete must be physically able to train. Our coaches are not medical professionals.
- Emergencies. If we can't reach you, you authorize our staff to call 911 and get first aid and emergency care for the athlete, including transport to a hospital. You are responsible for all medical costs, and you confirm the athlete has health insurance or that you accept full financial responsibility.
- Concussion. If a concussion is suspected, the athlete sits out for the rest of the day and can't return without written clearance from a licensed health care provider, followed by a gradual return. Please tell us about any concussion, including ones outside our sessions.
- Cardiac warning signs. See a doctor before training if the athlete has fainted or had a seizure during exercise, has chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, a racing heartbeat, or dizziness during exercise, or has a family member who died suddenly before age 50. If an athlete collapses, we call 911, start CPR, and use the nearest AED.
Session rules and supervision
- Conduct. Athletes follow coach instructions, safety rules, and field rules, wear proper footwear, and bring water. We may remove an athlete from a session for safety or conduct reasons.
- Supervision and rides. We supervise athletes only during scheduled session times. Parents are responsible for on-time drop-off and pickup and all transportation.
- Weather. Sessions may be shortened, moved, or canceled for heat, lightning, rain, poor air quality (including wildfire smoke), or field conditions. Weather-canceled sessions are made up, not refunded.
- Personal items. We aren't responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, including phones, cleats, and bags.
- Communication with minors. Coaches communicate with parents or through group messages, not in private one-on-one messages with minor athletes.
- No guarantees. We don't guarantee any result, including playing time, a roster spot, rankings, exposure, or a college offer.
Photos, video, and athlete profiles
We and our partner media brands, including WR Magazine (WR Mag) and Quarterback Magazine, may photograph, film, and record athletes during sessions and camps. You give us permission to use the athlete's name, image, likeness, voice, school, position, and performance information on our websites, social media, articles, athlete features, and promotional materials, without payment. If you don't want your athlete featured, email [email protected] and we'll stop using new photos and video of them going forward. Everything on this site, including photos, video, text, graphics, and logos, belongs to WR Magazine or its credited owners. Don't republish it without permission.
What you send us
When you email us, text us, fill out our Typeform intake form, or leave a testimonial, we may use what you send to run your training, build your athlete profile, and, for testimonials, share it on our site.
Texting
When you text us, you agree that we may text you back about scheduling, evaluations, billing, and your training. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time and we'll stop marketing texts. A text sent to (858) 462-6319 counts as written notice for membership cancellation as described above.

Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the site, training, or membership is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable attorney fees, for claims caused by your or the athlete's breach of these Terms or misconduct.
Disputes
Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve it informally for 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, or in small claims court where eligible.
Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes to membership billing take effect only with the notice described above.
